Active Botanical Co CBD promises the world’s strongest CBD oils – but does that promise hold up under testing?
You’ll find the answer to this and many other questions in our full Active Botanical Co CBD review!
Who Are Active Botanical Co CBD?
- Active Botanical Co CBD launched in 2019.
- Although they admit CBD “can be a confusing subject” and claim to be “here to make it simple,” their website is surprisingly sparse on details.
- For example, while the company seems to be located in Colorado, it isn’t clear whether they source their hemp from local growers.
- Similarly, their extraction methods are unknown, though they promise to only use 99% pure CBD isolate with “custom blends of organic terpenes” in all of their products.
- Nevertheless, all product batches go through independent quality assurance testing by a third party, the lab reports of which are available on the website.
- Their goal is to manufacture the strongest CBD oils and topicals in the industry.
The company seems to have given up on Twitter very quickly, having created and then abandoned their account in 2019. However, they continue to publish one, sometimes two weekly posts on their Facebook page and Instagram profile respectively.
Their blog, on the other hand, hasn’t seen an update since November 2020.
You’ll have a better chance getting in touch with the company via:

While there isn’t an option for free shipping if your order total reaches a certain amount, US customers do enjoy 10% discounts on any products they “subscribe” to for automated monthly orders.
Senior Citizens, Military Personnel and Veterans, and those with a medical “prescription” to use CBD can also apply for a 25% discount coupon.
If accepted, the 10% subscription discount can still be applied with the coupon for a total discount of 35%.
What Products Does Active Botanical Co CBD Sell?
So what products do Active Botanical Co CBD sell and claim to be “the world’s strongest”? There are a few, falling into the following categories:
- CBD Oil
- CBD Topicals
- CBD for Pets
The oil in particular is further sub-categorized into different formulas (or “Formulations,” as the company calls them), so let’s take a closer look at everything!
CBD Oil
First up is the Energy Formulation CBD Oil.
At first glance, you might think there are 4 potency options available. However, it would be more accurate to say there are 2 dosage strengths, with the higher version also available in larger bottle sizes.
Here’s how it plays out: the 50mg of CBD per 1ml dosage potency is sold in 15ml bottles.
The 100mg of CBD per 1ml dosage option is available in 15ml, 30ml, and 60ml bottles (advertised as 1,500mg-6,000mg total CBD, hence the possible confusion).
These dosages and sizes affect prices accordingly, which range from $34.99 to $214.99.
Tony says it’s great to use first thing in the morning and the terpenes definitely shine through in the tincture’s taste. Trishin, meanwhile, is happy it offers consistent results from one batch to the next, and Mrs. Moore enjoys daily pain relief as a result:
Relax Formulation is the second option available.
This one is also sold in 50mg and 100mg CBD per 1ml dosage strengths, in the same bottle sizes as the Energy Formulation.
Likewise, prices range from $34.99 to $214.99 depending on the total potency/bottle size you choose.
Sam’s wife has become a believer in CBD after seeing how it helps him sleep peacefully some nights. Armagan testifies to the aptness of the formula’s name, saying it offers him true relaxation in the face of his anxiety:
The third formula is the Therapeutic Formulation CBD Oil.
This time, the potency options are a little different! While you can still get the 750mg total CBD strength in a 15ml bottle (50mg per 1ml dosage), the remaining options are twice as strong as the Energy and Relax Formulations.
Although there’s still a 3,000mg total CBD option, it’s sold in a 15ml bottle this time, for a true potency of 200mg per 1ml dosage. Likewise, the 30ml bottle offers 6,000mg of total CBD, while the 60ml bottle offers 12,000mg.
For an even stronger dose, you can also opt for the 24,000mg total CBD potency, sold in 60ml bottles (400mg per drop). This is the strongest CBD product available from the company, though not in the industry as a whole.
The Therapeutic Formulation CBD Oil prices range from $34.99 to $599.99.
Adam says the quality is enough to make him a repeat customer, especially as it relieves his aches and pains. Landon, meanwhile, says it helps him avoid resorting to opioids for pain relief, having broken his back twice!
Another user, “naholt13,” left one of only two reviews on the website that Active Botanical Co CBD verified to have been made by a real customer.
He credits this oil with saving his life by helping him stop using pharmaceutical anti-depressants:
CBD Topicals
The Therapeutic Formulation makes another appearance in the form of Active Botanical Co CBD’s only topical product – their Salve.
Mercifully, the potency isn’t as confusing as is the case with the oils.
Here, each 40ml container either contains 250mg, 2,500mg, or 5,000mg of total CBD, clearly denoted in the product listing’s full name.
Naturally, the stronger the potency means the higher the price, starting at $24.99 and going up to $179.99.
Landon says, together with the oil (based on his review above), the 2,500mg Salve acts quickly to greatly reduce his back pain – and mercifully keep that pain at bay all day long.
Cynthia (the second and only other verified customer) also uses it for her feet pain and to alleviate arthritis in her wrist, while Karen says it works well for relieving her migraines:
CBD for Pets
The fourth, hitherto not mentioned formula finally makes an appearance as the Pet Formulation.
As the name implies, this CBD oil is specially developed for pets.
This includes using carefully selected terpenes that ensure the tincture is virtually odorless and won’t make your pet suspicious of their food bowl. After all, cats and dogs alike are a lot more sensitive to smell than we are!
The potency is more limited, as the Pet Formulation is only available in the 50mg per 1ml dosage strength. However, the product page includes a short guide to help you figure out how much to give your cat or dog, based on their weight.
To help avoid making multiple purchases for larger breeds, the tincture is available in 3 bottle sizes: 15ml, 30ml, and 60ml.
Prices range from $34.99 to $109.99 accordingly.
Mandy says it seems to be working well for her senior Shih Tzu. The pooch was slowing down in her old age, but after a few weeks with the oil, she’s slowly regained the mobility of her younger days:
Active Botanical Co CBD Reviews – What Are People Saying?
We’re always a fan of CBD companies allowing customers to leave feedback on their product pages.
But of course, it helps if they make sure they’re real customers with verified purchases!
Otherwise, there’s the higher-than-usual risk of people being paid to leave fake, positive reviews…
Unfortunately, it seems Active Botanical Co CBD hasn’t quite grasped that concept yet, or has chosen to turn a blind eye to the devastating effect it can have on perceived trustworthiness as a company.
Of all the reviews left on their website, only two – by “nahon13” and Cynthia – are verified. Nevertheless, this is one of the reasons we always look elsewhere online too!
The bad news is we couldn’t find any at first – not on any of the usual sites and not even on the company’s Facebook page.
But we persisted until we were able to find 3 comments, though none of them are from verified customers either, unfortunately.
Tommy says the oil takes the edge off after a night of drinking:
Brent says although he still has to use melatonin from time to time, the Relax Formulation Tincture also helps him sleep at night without leaving him groggy in the morning:
And finally, Sule says the Therapeutic Formulation Oil helped her while fighting against stomach cancer:
Overall, we think that Active Botanical Co offer a nice selection of CBD products that are all 3rd party tested but the lack of independent reviews make them a bit hard to recommend now.
We would recommend checking out our list of the best CBD products instead.
And if you’ve tried any of their products then please leave a review below!
