We’ve all heard the jokes. Looking up your symptoms on WebMD will give you the worst news possible.
However, cbdMD is a totally different story!
Does this mean they offer high-quality alternative solutions to traditional prescriptions?
Or is it just another CBD company over-promising but under-delivering?
Find out with our cbdMD review!
Who Are cbdMD?
- cbdMD doesn’t seem to specify when they launched as a company, nor where they’re based. However, they do say they’ve “visited 3 continents, 14 countries, and 8 states” before finding their home somewhere in the US.
- The company also says they only use the highest-quality hemp grown in the US.
- They use “the industry’s most sophisticated manufacturing methods” in FDA Registered facilities to create what they believe is the best range of CBD products on the market.
- They pride themselves on quality and innovation alike and use extensive third-party testing to hold themselves accountable to that promise.
- While they don’t have a clearly defined slogan, it could be “Less Pain More Gain.”
- Their mission statement seems to be “to provide the highest-quality, THC-free* CBD for sale.”
cbdMD has a semi-active social media presence on Facebook and Twitter, with multiple posts every week.
Their Instagram account is the most active, with daily posts, and they put a new video up every week on their YouTube channel. What Products Does cbdMD Sell?
They sell products in the following categories:
- CBD Oil Tinctures
- CBD Gummies
- CBD Capsules
- CBD Topicals
- CBD for Pets
- CBD Bath Bombs
Let’s take a quick look at each category in more detail!
CBD Oil Tinctures
They offer their regular CBD Oil Tincture in 6 different potency options, from 10mg, up to 250mg of CBD per serving.
You can also choose between 2 dropper bottle sizes (30ml and 60ml) and 4 flavors: Natural, Mint, Orange, and Berry.
Depending on the strength and volume you choose, prices range from $29.99 to $339.99 per dropper bottle.
Customers say the oil tinctures help them relieve pain and feel relief. Cathleen specifically uses them for alleviating her Transient Tic Disorder symptoms:
If you struggle to get a good night’s worth of quality sleep, the CBD PM for Sleep might be the tincture you’re looking for.
This Broad Spectrum hemp extract oil includes melatonin, valerian root extract, chamomile, and other herbs to promote relaxation.
CBD PM for Sleep is only available in a 500mg strength 30ml bottle with mint flavor. Each dropper bottle costs $44.99.
Satisfied customers like Shaun, Deb, and Cody call it a great product that helps them sleep when anxiety gets in the way:
CBD Gummies
These tropical mix flavored Premium CBD Gummies come in 3 dosage strengths: 10mg, 25mg, and 50mg of CBD per gummy. There’s also a 25mg option with added Vitamin C available.
Depending on the potency you choose, a bottle of 30 gummies costs $29.99 to $99.99 each.
Customers are very happy with this product, with Kai Eel using them to treat anxiety while focusing and remaining stress-free at work. Miranda and Alison are also of a similar mind:
CBD Capsules
If you aren’t a fan of tinctures or gummies, cbdMD’s range of CBD Oil Softgel Capsules might be what you’re looking for.
They’re also available as regular capsules if you don’t like softgels.
Both varieties are available in 3 potency options: 450mg total CBD (15mg per capsule), 1,000mg total CBD (33mg per capsule), and 1,500mg total CBD (50mg per capsule).
A bottle of 30 capsules costs $35.99 to $99.99 each, depending on the strength.
You can also get bottles with 60 capsules, which offer the same total CBD (so half the amount of CBD per capsule) at the same price.
There have been mixed reviews, but as Chris points out, the negative comments are all due to the customer not understanding the 60-count bottles offer the same total CBD with lower potency per capsule:
Similar to the tinctures, there’s also a CBD PM Softgel Capsule option, using the same ingredients as its oil counterpart.
Each individual capsule has 16.5mg CBD, so you get a $13.99 discount by purchasing the 1,000mg total CBD bottle with 60 capsules for $75.99 vs the 500mg total CBD 30 capsules bottle at $44.99.
Ike says he’s been sleeping better and doesn’t wake up experiencing any of the side-effects pharmaceutical sleeping aids gives him:
CBD Topicals
The CBD Topical range is technically just one product; the CBD Freeze for pain relief from backaches to sore muscles and joint pain.
However, you can choose between a Roller or Squeeze container to suit your preference.
CBD Freeze is also available in 4 different strength options:
300mg, 750mg, 1,500mg, 3,000mg total CBD.
At the moment, the strongest potency is only available as a roll-on.
Depending on the strength you choose, prices range from $29.99 to $149.00 per 3Oz container.
Customers like Tori and Lena consider it an amazing product, though Rebecca does mention it isn’t the best CBD topical she’s tried:
CBD for Pets
Most CBD companies offer a limited range of CBD products for pets. Many only focus on dogs, or offer products labeled as suitable for dogs and cats alike.
cbdMD is not one of those companies. The brand has an impressive range of 9 CBD for Pets products:
- CBD Oil Tinctures
- CBD Hard Chews
- Calming CBD Oil Tinctures
- CBD Calming Chews
- CBD Hip + Join Chews
- CBD Soft Chews
- CBD Cat Chews
- CBD Peanut Butter
- CBD Topicals
While many of these products are primarily for dogs (or suitable for both), they fill a huge gap in the market by including CBD Cat Chews as well.
Some of the product lines are also available in a range of potency options, mainly to account for different dog breed sizes.
Products in this category range from $19.99 to $99.99 each.
CBD Bath Bombs
Last, but not least, are the CBD Bath Bombs.
There are 6 varieties (CBD, Rise, Rejuvenate, Romance, Restore, and Relax), some correspond to their scents (Lavender, Eucalyptus, Frankincense, and Blend).
Each bath bomb has 100mg of CBD and costs $9.99. You can also get 4-packs and 6-packs.
cbdMD Reviews – What Are People Saying?
In addition to the Verified Buyer reviews on their website, cbdMD has 5 reviews elsewhere online. There’s a fair mix of good and bad reviews, giving the company an overall user rating of 3.2/5 stars.
A customer using the pseudonym “No Nonsense” complains the products are expensive and don’t offer any relief. They accuse the brand of relying “heavily on the placebo effect”:
Lynn also says she didn’t experience any relief when using cbdMD’s tinctures even though it was supposed to be stronger than her previous brand, and though she was also using twice as much, her knee pain and swelling came back.
She decided to try switching because cbdMD’s tinctures were cheaper, but now thinks it wasn’t worth the savings:
On a more positive note, Kevin and Chris both say cbdMD’s tinctures and topicals work wonders for relieving their pain. They also mention a 30% Veteran’s Discount and praise the company for their free shipping offer and quick delivery:
So, with all of this considered – are cbdMD’s products worth it?
Based on the fairly consistent reviews and generous discounts, we think it’s worth a shot.
As with many products, many of the negative reviews came from customers not reading the directions. Go figure.
This way, if you like it, you know you’ve found something of quality and can enjoy continued savings with one of their subscriptions.
And if you don’t like the products then you won’t have to wonder anymore.
And before you go, we strongly suggest reviewing our personal favourite CBD products, so you can make the most informed decision possible!
