Almost every company out there – especially CBD companies – claim to be different.
Most don’t quite live up to that claim. However, when it comes to Charlotte’s Web, we may have found an anomaly.
But what is that difference – and is it a difference that works in your favor?
Read our Charlotte’s Web review to find out!
Who Are Charlotte’s Web?
- Charlotte’s Web started out as a passion product for 7 brothers (Josh, Jared, Jordan, Jon, Jesse, Joel, and Austin Stanley) in 2012. The siblings got together and used their experience in botanicals to develop a proprietary hemp extract they initially gave away to friends and family. Over time, they realized there was a much wider market for their products and Charlotte’s Web was born.
- By 2013, the company was already enjoying global recognition thanks to their story. Today, they continue to put the same familial love and care into their company.
- They are based in Colorado and only use locally produced hemp. Although they aren’t organic certified yet, their FAQs show they do follow organic standards. The pesticides, herbicides, and mildewcides used on the farms where their hemp is grown are all 100% organic as well.
- They use an unspecified proprietary extraction method for their CBD isolate, while other products are made using C02 extraction.
- Charlotte’s Web is US Hemp Authority Certified and a Certified B Corporation. All products are also third-party tested for quality assurance.
- Their slogan could be “The World’s Most Trusted Hemp Extract.”
- Their mission statement is “to better the planet and the people living upon it. We endeavor upon this quest to pioneer a better future for those seeking peace-in mind, body, and soul.”
They are very active on all their social media platforms.
Their Facebook page enjoys daily updates and they post 4 to 6 times a week on Instagram and Twitter. They also have possibly the most active YouTube channel in the industry, with new videos being uploaded every week.
They also have a blog and product quiz.

You can get a dropper bottle of 30 ml or one of 100 ml, with prices ranging from $29 to $119 depending on bottle size and potency.
They also have sample sizes (10 ml bottles) available as standalone products or part of sample packs.
Customers like Kristin and Corey are very happy with the CBD oils, though Carrie wasn’t able to feel a difference:
There are 3 different CBD Gummies in this category: Sleep, Calm, and Recovery.
You can get these CBD gummies in sample packs of 3 gummies, but most customers opt for tubs of either 30 or 60 gummies. Each gummy has 10 mg of CBD.
30 gummies cost $29 while a larger tub of 60 gummies costs $44.
Customers consider it a great product, with Yvette also praising the company’s superior customer service quality:
Charlotte’s Web offers CBD Oil Liquid Capsules in two strengths: 15 mg and 25 mg of CBD per capsule. You can also choose between a bottle of 30, 60, or 90 capsules for the lower dosage and 30 or 90 capsules of the stronger potency.
Depending on the strength and quantity, prices range from $39.99 to $169.99.
Customers enjoy the fact they can get their CBD dose without using the oil dropper:
There are quite a lot of topical products.
The most prominent range includes formulas for arthritis, back and neck, foot and ankle, and muscle recovery. All of these formulas are available as an ointment, while some are also available as a spray or roll-on stick.
They also have options for acne, eczema, itches, and rashes in various forms, allowing you to choose the option that best suits you::
- Massage oil
Some topicals cost $14.99 to $19.99, but most are $39.99.
Customers are very happy with the range, saying they work well with noticeable effects. Vincenzo even uses a combination of products:
CBD for Dogs
While they don’t cater to cats unfortunately, Charlotte’s Web has an extensive range of CBD products for dogs: Full Spectrum Hemp Extract Drops, Hip & Join Chews, Chews for Senior Dogs, Calming Chews, and Canine Hemp Infused Balm.
Prices range from $19.99 to $59.99.
There’s also a Freedom Service Dogs Bundle, with proceeds going to the Freedom Service organization. The bundle usually sells for $94.98 but is currently on sale for $75.98.
Full Spectrum Hemp Extract Drops seems to be the most popular product by far. Customers say it has amazing effects, both to calm their furry friends and help with health issues:
Last, but not least, is the CBD Isolate, made using the company’s proprietary extraction methods. While most CBD companies sell their isolates in powdered form, Charlotte’s web offers it as an oil tincture.
Each 1 ml serving contains 20 mg CBD. This product is unflavored and costs $69.99 per 1 fl oz (30 ml) dropper bottle.
Satisfied customers say the CBD Isolate helps them sleep better at night and it’s worth the steep price (including tax and shipping).
Melissa, however, warns customers the product needs to build up in your system before its effects become apparent:
Charlotte’s Web Reviews — What Are People Saying?
In addition to the verified buyer reviews found on their website, we were able to find 3 customer reviews on another website, plus another 1,965 “votes” on a second.
Based on those 3 reviews, Charlotte’s Web enjoys an overall user rating of 3.7/5 stars. On the second site, that drops to 3.37/5 stars.
Customers like Sally complain of the customer service they received and accuse Charlotte’s Web of not having integrity:
James also says he’s been struggling to get hold of customer service, though doesn’t seem to understand the chat function on Charlotte’s Web’s website is a chatbot, not a live chat option:
However, many other customers praised Charlotte’s Web not only for their products, but for their superior customer service that makes you feel like family:
You can also see some of the most positive comments on the second website don’t include star ratings, which means the 3.37/5 star rating isn’t an accurate reflection of all feedback and “votes” given:
We think that Charlotte’s Web have a very nice selection of CBD products and they were one of the original sellers of CBD.
They may not have the best reviews but most of the negative ones are to do with the customer service more than the products so if you’re looking for high quality CBD products then we think they’re worth a try!
