Who Are T.R.U. CBD?
- T.R.U. CBD launched in 2019 and is based in Georgia.
- Their hemp is sourced from Colorado and they use CO2 chromatography extraction in an ISO8 and ISO9 food-grade facility.
- Unfortunately, their products do not appear to undergo third-party testing, as quality assurance tests are not mentioned anywhere on their website and are notably absent from their “Our Process” description. Instead, the company replaces transparency with a heavy reliance on the endorsement of American rapper 2 Chainz.
- Their mission is to promote the benefits of medical cannabis oil to a wide audience via their products.
In the same way that transparency is in short supply, the company seems neglect social media as well.
Their Instagram account was abandoned the same year they launched (2019), with Twitter following barely a year later.
So far, they’re still occasionally active on Facebook, though posts are becoming increasingly rare.

T.R.U. CBD focuses on keeping things as simple as possible, offering a select few products in the following categories:

There’s only one CBD oil available, but it’s a Full Spectrum tincture that comes in your choice of potency (6 options ranging from 250mg to 5,000mg of CBD per 30ml bottle).

CBD Capsules
T.R.U. CBD put a lot more focus into their range of CBD Capsules, starting with TRU Sleep. This option is THC-free, offering 30mg of CBD per capsule with added melatonin.
A bottle of 60 capsules costs $35.40.
TRU Joint is a capsule formula designed to target and relieve joint pain (such as pain caused by arthritis) as well as promote healthier, stronger joints in general. This time a Full Spectrum formula, each capsule offers 30mg of CBD.
A bottle of 60 is priced at $35.99.
The third and final option is the TRU Stress Capsules formula, which is meant to improve focus. With 30mg of Full Spectrum CBD per capsule, a bottle of 60 costs $35.40.
CBD Edibles
CBD Gummies are an industry standard.
T.R.U. CBD sells theirs in bottles of 30 with 10mg of CBD and Zero THC per vegan gummy. Each bottle costs $29.99 and is filled with an assortment of flavors.
Alternatively, you can grab a tin of CBD mint chewables for $41.99. The tin contains 50 mints with 10mg of Full Spectrum CBD each for a tasty and convenient dose on the go.
CBD Topicals
The T.R.U. CBD topicals include a Full Spectrum TRU Pain Cream and the Broad Spectrum Pain Stick.
While the cream comes in a 30ml tub and the stick is a 1oz roll-on (quantities are equal), both offer 500mg of total CBD.
Your preference in application method and Full Spectrum vs. Broad Spectrum will be the primary deciding factor, though pricing ($32.99 for the Pain Cream and $35.40 for the Pain Stick) might also sway you one way or the other.
T.R.U. CBD Reviews – What Are People Saying?
Is a celebrity endorsement enough to make up for the lack of transparency, social media marketing, and quality assurance lab results?
As should be expected, the answer is a resounding “no.”
Despite the CBD industry being a relatively new and (unfortunately) unregulated market, users understand the importance of the most important elements T.R.U. CBD is lacking.
While it might not be fair to assume the lack of customer reviews translates to a lack of customers in general, we do feel it’s indicative of the market having less patience for CBD companies that aren’t undergoing third-party testing and being transparent.
In the case of T.R.U. CBD, this shows.
Combined with the lack of a feature allowing users to leave feedback on product pages, there’s nothing other than 2 Chainz’ endorsement to suggest their products are good.
The one and only review we could find online is an unverified comment left on their Facebook page back in 2019. Nicole says the pain stick helped her with pain caused by a herniated disc:
